Given the above pointers and the fact that the gmat doesn't test geometry, grammar (sentence correction) and also doesn't have an essay, we can say that the test content is less than that of the GRE. However, the GMAT tests concepts at a deeper level compared to the GRE. Also, the GMAT focusses a lot on logic and interpretation skills compared to the GRE.
To decide your test, write a zero-preparation diagnostic test for both and then compare the performance. You will be in a better place to decide depending on
which test felt better / easier
in which test you had a better control over time
in which test the questions appeared easier to comprehend
the sections of which test you were more comfortable with (someone may find data insights easy while others may find it difficult)
which test was more in sync with your skills.
