Content creation idea: Gratitude reflection

A gratitude reflection is a great idea for a post because it can touch the soul and make a “heart difference” in a special way.

Sharing a gratitude list will make your post original and genuine because it will be what you are grateful for. Share from the heart and then start a conversation with others about what you have in common.

Why is gratitude important?

“Gratitude is like an anchor, keeping us directly in the here and now. When we live clutching onto the past, or longing for the future, we miss all of the amazing gifts we are given each and every day.” Tim West

“I KNOW that gratitude is the magic. Gratitude is the ONE THING that will make a difference. Gratitude for ANYTHING will help you get one step closer to your dreams. Do this daily!” Hallie Avolio

“Gratitude is THE superpower. It’s the doorway to joy and fun and abundance!” Dr Jo Cresswell - Research and Innovation Consultant

“Let go of worst-case scenarios and reframe with gratitude.” Claudia Wyatt

“Gratitude has a remarkable way of transforming ordinary moments into extraordinary experiences.” Noémi Beres 🎙️

The example below gives an idea of how you can create a “gratitude list” by simply focusing on aspects of everyday life.

There is something about listing what you’re grateful for that makes the day better because focusing on gratitude can be life-changing!

One of my gratitude reflections:

As I was driving home from visiting my kids and grandblessings, I had lots of time to think…so to counteract the boredom of a long car ride, I decided to create a gratitude reflection in my mind.

I started with being grateful for being able to breathe and to walk.

I envisioned each of my kids and grandblessings, being grateful for each of them and their wonderful smiles and personalities.

Then I began to look for simple things – ones that are not normally on my “gratitude list.”

Here’s what I came up as I was driving:

  • Good weather (I really do not like driving in the rain or on icy roads).
  • Sunglasses so I could see better against the bright sunshine.
  • Paved roads so I didn’t have to drive on dirt or gravel.
  • Bridges over rivers and creeks.
  • A reliable car that didn’t break down on my way home.
  • No crazy drivers on the roads today – thus safe travel!

What is one thing you are grateful for that isn’t normally on your “gratitude list” or that you may take for granted?

“What are you thankful for today? Even if you are in a darker place than you would like, find the light of gratitude. It has the ability to change the atmosphere and build upon itself. If nothing comes to mind, sit in this for a while until the good is revealed. It is worth finding.”

Tim Brand
