Health Innovation Campus Newsletter July 2025
Planning for a healthier future
Dear colleagues,
Three major strategies have recently been launched, each offering a vision for a healthier, more innovative and more resilient UK: the NHS 10-Year Plan, the Modern Industrial Strategy and the Life Sciences Sector Plan. While each speaks to a different area, they share a common thread: ambition that can only be realised through collaboration.
Lancaster University and the Health Innovation Campus stand ready to help bring these strategies to life. With diverse academic expertise, we are well-placed to collaborate with government, health partners and industry to deliver meaningful change.
We’ve already seen how this kind of collaboration can have real impact. From hosting a Men’s Health Roundtable which contributed directly to the development of the national Men’s Health Strategy, to convening life sciences industry leaders and academic experts to explore new ways to work together for the benefit of patients. We’re using different approaches to support collaboration and progress - through research, innovation, evaluation, conversation.
We know it’s a challenging time, with uncertainty across sectors and systems. By working together, we can help turn national strategies into regional impact and build a stronger, brighter future – we look forward to working with you all.
Best wishes
