HENSOLDT improves German Armed Forces' drone defence capabilities – ASUL capability upgrade commissioned

The Federal Office of Bundeswehr Equipment, Information Technology and In-Service Support (BAAINBw) has commissioned the sensor specialist/solution provider HENSOLDT to enhance the functional capabilities of the ASUL defence system against unmanned aircraft systems.

ASUL is part of a comprehensive air defence system: The modular counter-unmanned aircraft system (C-UAS) with a scalable sensor-effector mix of complementary active and passive radar systems, electro-optical sensors and a versatile range of countermeasures enables small unmanned aircraft systems to be detected, classified and identified in real time and successfully combated.

Strategic partnership with Quantum Systems to drive innovation in Software-Defined Defence

HENSOLDT, a leading German provider of defence and security sensor solutions, today announced a strategic cooperation with Munich-based defence tech startup Quantum Systems. This partnership is accompanied by an investment by HENSOLDT into Quantum Systems and sets the foundation for a deeper cooperation in Software-Defined Defence (SDD).

Strong first quarter 2025 with growth in order intake and revenue & successful Annual General Meeting

The HENSOLDT Group ("HENSOLDT") has started the financial year 2025 with a strong result and remains on course for growth.

  • Order intake increases year-on-year to EUR 701 million
  • Order backlog reaches new record level of EUR 6,929 million
  • Revenue grows to EUR 395 million (previous year: EUR 329 million)
  • Adjusted EBITDA at EUR 30 million (previous year: EUR 33 million)
  • Financial restructuring successfully completed
  • Guidance for the financial year 2025 confirmed in all key figures

Additionally, HENSOLDT AG successfully held its Annual General Meeting at the end of May in Munich, was well attended by shareholders. A total of 67.98% of the share capital was represented. All items on the agenda were approved by a large majority.

CERETRON software heralds the digital era of land sensor technology

With the successful completion of the first release milestone for its CERETRON software, sensor solutions provider HENSOLDT is ushering in a new era in digitally networked sensor technology and automation.

As part of a comprehensive system concept, a software-defined defence runtime environment has been put into operation that seamlessly integrates containerized algorithms into ground-based systems. The system successfully controlled optronic reconnaissance sensors via the standardized HENSOLDT architecture and displayed video streams and algorithm results in near real time.

👏 Exciting developments across the board. The electro-optical system pictured perfectly illustrates a core challenge in surveillance tech: achieving perfect image stabilization. This requires a control PCBA with ultra-low latency processing and a meticulously designed power delivery network to eliminate any jitter in the gimbal's servo motors.
