LET ME TELL YOU A STORY: HOW IGNORING MY BODY IMPACTED MY CAREER SUCCESS
It is easy to see the glitz and glamour of professional success. Five years into growing and expanding my business, I got so sick that I thought I might have to shut down my business. I had achieved making a six-figure income, became a #1 international bestseller, and established the reputation of being an expert in my field. Despite my achievements, one morning, I woke up in excruciating pain and I was unable to straighten my legs for about an hour. I had been working seven days a week and more than 12 hours a day ignoring several warning signs. The irony is that morning, I was scheduled to deliver a presentation about the latest scientific insights behind success and well-being.
As my health continued to get worse, I started suffering from sciatica, and circulation issues. I also began experiencing symptoms associated with fibromyalgia and adrenal fatigue. I did not get it! How to hack the Mind & Body for well-being and high performance was my thing! Why was my body saying, "Hey, slow down!"
All this got me thinking, “Is it possible to achieve career success while maintaining a healthy life?”

In this fast-paced, highly competitive world, most of us are conditioned to work long hours, hustle, and not have boundaries established for work-life balance. We don’t question that perhaps we are not all designed to work the same way, that perhaps we all have a unique way to achieve career success and that does not look the same for everyone. These are real issues and unchecked can lead to burning out and illness.
