How To Turn A Simple Question into a Profitable Product
Everyone says, “Follow your passion.”
But if your goal is to monetise your knowledge, here’s a better strategy:
Solve a pain.
Because people don’t always pay for what they love.
But they do pay to get rid of what’s frustrating, overwhelming, or keeping them stuck.
Actionable Tip:
Write down the top 3 questions people always ask you — pick one and turn it into a product or service.
Think: “How do you…” or “What’s the best way to…” type questions.
Choose the one that comes up most frequently; that’s where the pain is.
Build a simple solution: a checklist, a 3-day challenge, a playbook, or a consulting offer.
Launch it as a post or offer on LinkedIn. Don’t wait until it’s perfect.
Why it works:
You start with proven demand
You’re not guessing — you’re solving
People feel seen (and want the relief you're offering)
Example:
People kept asking me:
“How did you become a top writer on LinkedIn?”
“How did you create you banner?”
“How do you write every day?”
So I built The LinkedIn Playbook: Everything You Need to Know to Grow on LinkedIn — a step-by-step guide based on the exact strategies I use.
It was born from their pain, not my passion.
And it keeps selling — because it solves a real problem.
That’s the power of pain-first thinking.
Each week, I give you one actionable tip to monetise your expertise — clearly and simply.
