I Celebrate Two Years at EUMEPS!
This month marks two years since I joined EUMEPS as Communications Manager. From the beginning, the goals assigned to me were clear: to structure the organisation’s communications, raise EUMEPS’s visibility, and support our advocacy efforts with clarity, professionalism, and consistency.
These two years have been both intense and rewarding. They have been shaped by the transformation of our communication tools, the launch of several strategic initiatives, and a continuous effort to bring more visibility to the work of our members and the role of EPS in Europe’s climate and competitiveness goals.
Laying the Groundwork: From Structure to Strategy
In 2023, we launched a 15-month communication programme designed to clarify our messages, professionalise our tools, and align our communication with EUMEPS’s long-term ambitions. Together with my colleagues and our agency, Inextremis, we:
The goal was simple: provide our members with solid foundations and give EUMEPS the visibility it deserves.
Strategic Projects with Tangible Impact
Throughout 2024, we launched several initiatives that helped reinforce our presence and credibility:
These tools serve a single purpose: to position EUMEPS as a serious, credible voice in Brussels, and to support our members with clear, accessible communication.
Looking Ahead: Internal Stakeholders and Human Voices
In 2025, our focus will expand to internal engagement. I am proud to announce that we will soon launch a new initiative: Women of EUMEPS.
Initially designed as a campaign to highlight the values of diversity and inclusion, the project evolved. After receiving testimonials from women across the EPS sector, it became clear that what truly mattered was creating a space for real voices. Personal stories, individual experiences, and honest perspectives will be the core of this project.
Starting mid-April, we will publish written testimonials, beginning with our EUMEPS staff and later expanding to member companies. The format is simple: a clear email, a short survey, and a space to speak freely. What we get in return is valuable and moving. It is about recognition. It is about representation. It is about making space.
To me, this initiative reflects a shift in how we communicate—not only what we say, but how we choose to listen.
Conclusion: A Role in Motion
Two years is a short time, but long enough to learn, to build, and to grow. I am proud of what we have accomplished. I am grateful for the trust of our members and the support of my wonderful colleagues.
Communications professionals have a key role: not just to speak, but to structure, support, and bring coherence. My role at EUMEPS has been an opportunity to do that—with care, with purpose, and with impact.
Thank you for following my work. I look forward to the next steps. And Happy EUMEPSary to me!
