International Women's Day 2024

🚺 On this International Women's Day, I'm delighted to have been part of a significant milestone for gender equality. Alongside almost 3,000 fellow signatories, I threw my support behind the #investHER open letter to the government. This collective action, led by a dedicated team of women at Lodestone Communications, showcases the power of women uniting for a common cause.

✌ This victory is not just symbolic — it's tangible progress. Spearheaded by Emma Wright and backed by investors and business leaders, the team advocated for equity in investment. An open letter to the Chancellor gained traction rapidly, amassing nearly 3,000 signatures from women across the UK.

The impact was undeniable, attracting attention from media outlets such as The Times, The Telegraph, Daily Mail, and #techfocused platforms.

🗣 The widespread support and positive coverage propelled this message to the forefront, amplifying the voices of women seeking fair treatment in the #investment landscape.

🙌 And these efforts paid off. The Chancellor listened, and in a gratifying turn of events, reinstated the previous eligibility criteria for #angelinvestors in the Budget announcement. This victory is a testament to the resilience, determination, and effectiveness of women working together to challenge systemic barriers and advocate for a more inclusive society.
