She embarked on her scientific voyage at the University of Kent in England, laying the foundation for her future in the fields of medical science and life science. Her quest for knowledge led her to the prestigious The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) , where she pursued a master's degree, further solidifying her expertise in Global Health Policy and health emergencies.


A Blend of Science and Entrepreneurship

Isha's professional path is characterized by a deep-seated passion for biomedical sciences and an unwavering commitment to infectious disease control and health emergencies. With an impressive background as an accredited Biomedical Scientist, her expertise has been pivotal in leading Haskè Health +, a Joint Venture that marks her first foray into the private sector in health. 

Prior to joining Haskè Ventures, Isha made significant contributions to the World Health Organization (WHO) as an Epidemiology & Surveillance officer. Her role during the COVID-19 response involved spearheading activities in the Ministry of Health and the Public Health Emergency Operation Centers in The Gambia, as well as supporting surveillance and disease control efforts for Polio, Meningitis, and Lassa Fever in Nigeria. Furthermore, her work extended to revitalizing the health system in the northeastern states of Nigeria, areas greatly impacted by the Boko Haram insurgency.


Haskè Health +: A Convergence of Science and Venture Building

At the heart of Isha's current endeavors is Haskè Health +, a visionary joint venture between Haskè Ventures and Institut Pasteur de Dakar . The initiative aims to tackle the healthcare challenges in Francophone Africa by catalyzing health innovations for sustainable impact. This partnership leverages Institut Pasteur's scientific prowess and Haskè Ventures' expertise in venture building, market research, and talent management, among others. Isha's role is instrumental in navigating this complex landscape, where the digitalization of health information and financial inclusion are critical to achieving the venture's objectives.

 

Sammanté Santé : A Testament to Impact and Financial Inclusion

One of Isha's remarkable achievements at Haskè Health + is her work in the development of Sammanté, a product designed to emphasize the importance of health insurance to local populations. Through her leadership, the team illustrated the dire consequences of medical emergencies without a safety net, driving home the value of financial preparedness.
