It's all about community
I attended the Atlanta Tech Week Kick Off this morning over at Atlanta Tech Park with a fully packed room and a live DJ to keep the crowd energized. You can see a photo of early on above, but it was three times as full after lunch. Atlanta Tech Week is a week long celebration of Atlanta's technology and startup scene - and is a great example of all we have going on in this city. It was great seeing many familiar faces and also meeting many new people - all here in Atlanta to create and build. The theme of community is the thread which not only ties together Atlanta Tech Week, but I realize of what has been driving my own activities over the last year.
I built You Just Found ME™️ to help job seekers be seen here on this platform - but its power was through the community of fellow job seekers and supporters. That community is strong here, and the job seeker spotlight fit right in and helped amplify the amazing support already in place. Then, this year, I launched ATL Tech Events to help support our Atlanta technology community. We have great events year round, and it was important to make sure people could find the right events, near where they lived, and connect with their local community. And finally, I started hosting the monthly cybersecurity meet-ups, in conjunction with Nearshore Cyber and my own company Mirability, LLC . The purpose? To create a place for the cybersecurity community (or those interested in it) to come together and meet each other.
Today's newsletter isn't a "me, me, me" post - despite the above. None of these things matter or accomplishing anything without you - the community it serves. The events, the calendar, the spotlight - all are designed to help those in the community find each other. I'm happy to be able to provide a platform or an opportunity to help that happen. A community which can find its members is a strong one - and a strong community can achieve great things. I'm glad to be a part of the groups and organizations I am - and to do my part to enable their success. And I look forward to continuing to build ways to help people connect with each other and with their own community.
I hope you've found your community and the opportunities to connect and grow.

Week In Review
A lot of the week was spent talking about Atlanta Tech Week, but I also got to attend another event last week, and share some other thoughts.
Here's what was on the mind:
There's still time to vote in the polls and join in the conversation!
In Conclusion
Attending the kick off to Atlanta Tech Week was great - and I hope to see many of you at other events throughout the week. And then later in June at my meetup. What other events are you excited about near you?
Community may be the thread of much of what I do, but cyber and IT risk still is important. ComplianceXO is designed to help your business deal with these issues and come out ahead. If your company has IT and has risk (every company does) - please reach out and let's talk about how ComplianceXO can help you get a handle on managing that risk!
If getting back to work is a goal of yours, let me know if you would like to be in the You Just Found ME™️ job seeker spotlight. It is free to all jobseekers! Send me a note!
I want to remind everyone I offer referral bonuses to any work you bring me through Mirability, LLC - if you're interested. If there's anything I can help you with, I'd love to hear about it.
I hope this coming week is what you need it to be and that everyone stays safe!
Be sure to check out my online merchandise. Remember, 100% of the profits for any You Just Found ME merchandise goes to support that program for job seekers!
