"I’ve been doing this for years — but it feels like I’m invisible."
That’s what a senior manager told me during a quiet conversation earlier this month.
We weren’t talking about performance reviews.
We weren’t talking about KPIs.
We were talking about that heavy, frustrating gap between doing the work... and getting seen for the value you bring.
He said something I won’t forget:
"My days are packed with actual firefighting, decision-making, coaching my team, fixing broken processes... I barely have time to breathe, let alone post anything online. But I’m watching others — even people with half my experience — grow their voice, their influence, and their network."
He wasn’t jealous. He was tired.
Tired of feeling like the "unsung hero" behind the scenes.
Tired of watching opportunities pass him by, even though the results spoke for themselves.
Tired of seeing his ideas, lessons, and leadership get stuck in his head — instead of reaching the right people.
And the worst part? He believed this was normal.
That if you work hard enough, your results should speak for you.
But the truth is:
In today’s world, your work doesn’t always speak. Your voice does.
And the great news is: you don’t need to become a "content creator" to share your leadership voice.
You just need a simple way to capture your everyday decisions and turn them into clear, meaningful insights.
That’s when I showed him the LEAD Framework — something I developed for busy leaders exactly like him.
💡 The LEAD Framework
L — Listen: Pay attention to the decisions, conversations, and "teachable moments" you face every day. Your content isn’t out there... it’s already happening in your meetings, challenges, and leadership choices.
E — Extract: Pull out the real lesson from the experience. Ask: What did I learn? What would I do differently next time?
A — Articulate: Write it the way you’d say it in a one-on-one conversation. No jargon, no fancy words. Just you, talking about the experience.
D — Deliver: Post it. Share it in your team chat. Use it to coach someone. The key is not to let the insight stay trapped in your head.
I watched his whole posture change.
From weighed down... to clear.
From stuck... to ready.
"I actually have more content than I thought. I’ve just never seen it this way before."
Fast forward to last week's feedback...
And that’s the shift!
Leaders, you don’t need to invent content. You’re already living it.
That conversation inspired me to put together a free resource:
The LinkedIn Leader Pack — 20 plug-and-play templates designed to help busy leaders turn their real-world decisions into clear, powerful LinkedIn posts.
No beating around the bush. No "what do I write today?" stress.
Just real stories, real lessons — in your own words.
If you’ve ever felt unseen, unheard, or underrepresented despite the work you put in, this is for you.
