June at HDM: The Heat Is On

With the first days of summer behind us, the heat is on in more ways than one. At HDM, June was about building teams, tools, relationships, and momentum. As we head into the second half of the year, we’re grounded in our values and energized by what’s ahead.

Investing in What Matters: Our Delivery team gathered in Chicago for its first-ever Delivery Summit, a meaningful opportunity to connect in person, strengthen collaboration, and align on how we continue delivering with consistency and impact. The energy in the room was a reminder of what’s possible when people with a shared purpose get time together.

On the Client Services team, we welcomed several new team members and officially brought on Abby Polich, MBA as our SVP of Client Services. Abby will be leading Sales, Recruiting, and Marketing across HDM, and we’re excited for the leadership and perspective she brings.

Making Smarter Decisions with Better Data: One of the internal highlights this month was the launch of Datacron, a dashboard platform built by our Finance and Admin team to give us real-time visibility into key performance metrics. This is a big step forward in making our work more transparent and our decisions more data-driven—something that reflects HDM’s commitment to clarity and operational excellence.

Our data migration capabilities with our Data Management service line remain a core strength. We continue to support healthcare organizations through high-stakes transitions—moving data across systems securely and accurately, helping providers stay focused on care instead of complexity.

Staying Connected: Being out in the field matters. In June, I joined Kayla Webb and Morgan Kent at the Tennessee HIMSS Chapter Golf Tournament, where we had valuable conversations about what healthcare leaders are focused on heading into the back half of the year. We also had team members attend HIMSS New England and Northern Ohio Chapter of HIMSS —with a special shoutout to Alexis Woltermann for getting out there in her first week.

These events aren’t just networking opportunities—they’re listening posts. And staying close to our clients and the market helps us deliver work that’s relevant and timely.

Heading into Q3 with Focus: The second half of the year is here. As always, we’re anchoring to our mission: to simplify healthcare technology and help providers do more with better data. With new voices on the team, strong collaboration across departments, and growing momentum around platforms like Aura—we’re focused on thoughtful growth that lasts.

At HDM, we make IT happen.

The heat is on—and we’re ready for it.

HDM Team: Delivery Team Summit

Article content

This week, our powerhouse Delivery team gathered in Chicago for a summit that was equal parts innovation, team building, and deep-dish deliciousness.

We kicked things off at Emporium Barcade, where games, laughs, and Lou Malnati’s pizza set the tone for an energetic few days ahead. 🍕

The team rolled up their sleeves for hackathons and workflow optimization sessions, exploring new ways to deliver smarter, faster, and with even greater impact. These working sessions sparked fresh ideas, refined processes, and elevated how we show up for our clients.

Of course, no summit is complete without some friendly competition. The team put their collaboration skills to the test in a high-stakes escape room challenge, then capped off the experience with a well-earned celebratory dinner at Gino & Marty’s.

This year’s summit wasn’t just about getting together—it was about leveling up. We strengthened our connections, sharpened our approach, and set the stage for the next wave of delivery excellence.

👏 Huge thanks to everyone who participated and made it a summit to remember. Let’s keep the momentum going!

Team spirit, sunshine, and a Cubs win—what more could you ask for? 💙❤️

This month, the Health Data Movers crew headed to Wrigley Field to watch the Chicago Cubs take on the Pittsburgh Pirates. With electric energy in the stands and a Cubs victory to top it off, it was the perfect chance to unwind, connect, and enjoy time together outside the office.

Moments like these remind us that celebrating wins—on and off the field—is all about the people who make it happen. We’re proud of the strong, collaborative team culture we’re building and grateful for opportunities like this to strengthen those connections.

Here’s to more great moments, more shared wins, and more team memories ahead!

Client Success Story: Transforming Clinical Data Migration

Article content

Data migration in healthcare isn’t just technical—it’s clinical.

When a major healthcare provider made the move to Epic , they faced a critical challenge: ensuring that essential clinical data transitioned accurately and efficiently to support patient care on day one.

That’s where Health Data Movers came in. We led a Clinical Data Abstraction Project that delivered real, measurable impact:

  • Migrated key PAMI data (Problems, Allergies, Medications, Immunizations)
  • Transferred over 65,000 future lab orders
  • Embedded a team of RNs and credentialed abstractors directly into the project
  • Designed custom workflows and training to ensure a seamless go-live

The result?

  • Immediate access to critical clinical data
  • Reduced reconciliation time for providers
  • A smoother, more confident transition that enhanced both provider experience and patient care
