Kenya Medical Mission and Mara Safari

Jana and I are wrapping up our stay at #angamamara. We started out with our medical mission near Kitali Kenya.  Over 6 days our team of 6 Katy, Texas volunteers plus 8 local doctors, 2 local dentists, 2 local ophthalmologists, 4 local pharmacists, and 10 nurses; gave 6,000 mosquito nets, provided over 10,000 personal visits with doctors, provided $12,000 in medicines, extracted countless teeth, provided 4,000 plus eye exams, tested 3,500 blood samples for HIV, and finally listened to and prayed with some that had issues that are almost impossible to treat.  We've been blessed.

These last three days at Angama Mara have been the total opposite of the first six days.  Ultimate luxury, unparalleled views, amazing animals, and fabulous staff.

This last image of a lone bull elephant looking down the slope toward the Mara River and just across from the lodge, is a fitting ending to our stay.  I've got a short video of our guide Moses telling me about the magic of this place which I will post when I return home.

I love this place!

I can't wait to hear all about it ... safe travels home!
