Would like to share, the Nadaswaram band led by Sri MS Anand & Team of 9 members travel from Melukote to Thirukkurungudi on 3rd day of the Bramhotsavm every year. They perform nonstop Carnatic music as service to the Lord in the temple and the music is enjoyed every one in the village.

Reason I am sharing this story is, last few years I was very much disturbed when a Prominent Carnatic Musician started to critique the system and claimed Carnatic Music is restricted to a specific community.

Thankfully there are positive stories as well.Sri MS Anand & Co., hail from a “human” community. If you are a Carnatic music fan, you will get hooked to their music! Recently I met another person Sri Dakshina Murthy from “Human” community, who has engineered Nadaswaram to play C & C# scale.

Who stopped them from learning Carnatic music? 

Who stopped them from playing Nadaswaram?

Who stopped him from innovation?

When I meet such people, my faith in god, good being, brings back smile on my face and ignore people who seed hatred. 

As CSR initiative, Musicloudstudio & Technology takes up entire costing for this program - travel, food & Artist remuneration. We ensure artists are empowered. Like us there are several institutions who are working relentlessly to empower artist Community. Best way to bring the change is - to create a change within instead of crying foul.
