Latinas Doing it Different | WHM 2025
It’s Women’s History Month! And this WHM I'm highlighting Latinas who are blazing new trails, creating new cycles, yet always rooted in la cultura.
This week, we are coming to you live from New York City! That's right, you can listen OR watch our conversation, links below.
We are in the studio with my colleague and friend, Lariza Quintero. Lariza is an experienced webs and digital marketing pro with a background in SEO, media, e-commerce, and currently leads the global B2B website team at TikTok.
She is also the founder of FOR WMN, an online brand and social platform dedicated to uplifting and empowering women through bold fashion and storytelling.
Before all of this, Lariza was a first-gen college student entering school as an anthropology and sociology major. Until her father started gently guiding her towards something that he knew she loved and was a bit more fiscally lucrative. (Can we give it up for the papis?!)
My dad would bring all these systems and things to play around with. So he quickly was like, ‘Lari, why don't you transfer to something in computers? Maybe give that a try. See if you like it. You're already good at it.’ He saw something that I didn't see at that time, but he saw something.
Lariza went down the first gen path of figuring it out, winging it, and eventually, making it into spaces she never thought she'd be in. But she made it, and she didn't stop there. Lariza still wanted to create something that was solely hers and for other women like her. FOR WMN is not only a beautifully curated fashion brand, but it is dedicated to helping build other creatives up and help them grow with her. Because for her, it's always about giving back to creatives, to women, to nuestra gente.
Tune into this week's episode to hear more about Lariza’s first gen experience, the pivot that made her career dreams come true, and more on why she started her own business in the first place.
