It might seem a bit quirky to talk about death on my birthday, but this year made me realize that understanding and accepting the inevitability of death actually brings a deeper appreciation for life. When we recognize that life is unpredictable and can end at any moment, we naturally start to focus on what truly matters. We stop wasting time on trivial matters or relationships that don't add value to our journey. After all, it's our life, and we should make every day count by doing what we love and surrounding ourselves with people who bring us joy.

If you are curious, here are my earlier 43 life lessons - real, raw and written with a hope that they spark something in you too:

1.      Be grateful to what you have

2.      Life is shorter and unpredictable than what we think

3.      Compete with yourself and not with others

4.      Have a stretched vision/ goal and take actions every day

5.      Consistency and daily habits are the key

6.      Life and lifeline are not a straight, so expect the unexpected

7.      Businesses are built on relationships and not by contracts

8.      Your network is your net worth

9.      Billionaires seek inner peace and happiness. So, get your perspective right

10.  EQ is more important than IQ

11.  Do not stress and give attention to trivial matters

12.  Spend time and build memories with parents and grandparents. Otherwise, you will regret it when they will not be around

13.  Treasure relationships and try your best to maintain them

14.  Try not to take your loved ones for granted

15.  Personal choice but start a family. Happiness of being a parent and seeing your kids grow is an unparalleled experience

16.  There are relationships which will not stay forever. Enjoy as long as they last and thereafter let it go

17.  Show respect to everyone – irrespective of their position in a company or social stature

18.  If you aspire to be a better version of yourself, it does not matter who is higher or lower than you

19.  Meditation and good diet are more important than physical exercise

20.  Eat to live and not live to eat

21.  Spend on experiences more than material possessions

22.  Spend more on convenience over collectibles

23.  Travel – explore new places, meet new people and cultures

24.  Avoid conflicts and debates. Its not your job to correct others

25.  Treasure relationships more than being right in an argument

26.  Don’t post your daily life on social media. You don’t need external validation

27.  Everything will not go as planned but its important to keep on trying

28.  Don’t overthink and over analyze

29.  Your happiness is your own responsibility

30.  Challenge your comfort zone - Higher gain comes with higher risks

31.  I am spiritual but not religious – understand the difference between what unites and what divides

32.  Take note and enjoy simple and daily things of life

33.  Don’t overcomplicate things - life, finances, relationships etc

34.  Declutter as much as you can

35.  Irrespective of your field of work or study, have basic knowledge of new trends and investments

36.  Experience is more valuable than degree

37.  Try to read a book, listen to a podcast or learn something new

38.  You are what you believe you are

39.  Sleep is important

40.  Find a higher purpose in life

41. Digital Minimalism

42. Embrace the power of living in the moment

43. Self Love - your own life matters
