Live-in care keeps elderly people in their happy place for longer

Home care is constantly evolving. We know that #home is the place that people feel happiest and most secure and our services support that. In fact, from our research we know that 98% of over 65s say it’s important to them and that they can also stay living independently in their own homes.

The incidence of the COVID19 pandemic has forced many of our seniors to permanently shield in their own homes. Never has our at home #care service been more in demand and a true lifeline to vulnerable elderly people having to self-isolate.

Earlier this year we acquired SuperCarers which has enabled us to offer ‘live-in’ care. With stories surrounding the incidence of #COVID-19 infection rates in care homes, many elderly clients and their families are looking for a safer alternative.

We can now offer a broader range of around the clock care in a person’s home across our entire network of 217 local offices. This can be from early stage care, right through to more support around personal care, home help and then eventually live-in care and palliative care.

We continue to lead the field in terms of meeting the changing home care needs of our #elderly and are committed to keeping people in their happy place for longer.

Great move Martin. We've added all the observations management our residential / nursing care customers are using to the latest version of our domiciliary care management software to specifically support the growing goal to provide more 'advanced' care to people in their own homes - happier for longer, absolutely. Technology can be a real enabler here.

You are so right to describe home as a ‘happy place’. It’s so important that people have a choice and the growth of live-in care will help more people to remain in their own familiar surroundings.

It’s such a testing time and so important for people to be able to stay at home. It’s great that this is an option!
