June is a pivotal month of the year. There are graduations – I recently celebrated my daughter Evelyn achieving her degree from
Rice University School of Engineering and Computing
– Father’s Day, summer solstice, pride month and Juneteenth celebrations.
It’s also a natural time for reflection and momentum. As we close out Q2 and set our sights on the second half of the year, we remain committed to innovation, continually asking, “What if you could...” when it comes to unlocking new possibilities, creating meaningful enhancements, and delivering technology and products that empower our clients to thrive.
With that, I want to share some key updates from LPL Product-Technology this month:
Technology and Product Updates and Enhancements
- eSignature In-Person Signing: Rollout is underway, as of June 25th, and will continue through July 30th! In-Person Signing enables advisors to complete electronic signature (eSignature) workflows directly with clients during face-to-face meetings. This feature enhances the flexibility of the signing process by allowing documents to be reviewed and signed on the spot, which can eliminate delays and improve the overall client experience. - Full Rollout of ClientWorks Proposal - The new ClientWorks Proposal tool is officially live, delivering a seamless, fully integrated solution for LPL advisors to create personalized, impactful investment proposals with ease. Accessible across multiple points in the ClientWorks ecosystem and integrated with New Account Opening 2.0, it empowers advisors to efficiently access and filter advisory models, streamline risk assessments, and customize proposal branding – helping deepen client engagement and showcase strategic value.
- Generative AI Search - We’re excited to introduce a powerful new way to get information in the Resource Center: Generative AI Search (GenAI). This advanced tool is designed to instantly deliver accurate answers to your questions—no more scrolling through pages or opening multiple documents. Simply ask a full question in the search bar, and GenAI will generate a concise summary at the top of the results, along with links to the most relevant resources—all drawn solely from Resource Center content. It’s faster, smarter, and built to help you spend less time searching and more time supporting your clients.
- Continued expansion of Cash Management Account (CMA)-: Built with the evolving needs of our independent advisors in mind, this solution empowers you to deliver even more holistic and comprehensive advice by equipping your clients with a streamlined, best-in-class way to manage, hold, and optimize their cash. After kicking off our pilot in April, we’re rolling out in strategic waves throughout Q2 and Q3—and we’re expanding access to another 200 advisors this month. This initiative is another step forward in our commitment to helping you serve clients with greater impact.
- NEW LPL Innovators Community Hub-: In today's virtual-first world, we understand the importance of staying connected and building strong networks with your peers. That’s why we’ve launched LPL Innovators – a new space for LPL advisors, institution clients and teams who want to expand their technology use, to connect through meaningful conversations while sharing experiences in real time and informing decision-making for future product roadmap items and solutions. has also launched the Alts Learning Hub, a new, centralized education platform designed to help advisors confidently incorporate alternative investments into their practice. With curated content from LPL, fund sponsors, and industry experts, the hub offers a streamlined learning experience—including CE credit opportunities through a partnership with the CAIA Association. As demand for alternatives grows, this resource aims to boost advisor expertise and client outcomes by making alts education more accessible and actionable. Click here to learn more.
