Managing your time and protecting your peace
What is the ideal schedule for freelancers?
There isn’t one; working hours are not "one-size-fits-all."
The great perk of stepping away from the rigid 9–5 corporate grind, and into freelance work, is incredible flexibility and the potential to create a schedule that works for you.
Fun fact about me: I’m a night owl. So, I’ve built out my freelance schedule to serve that. I work approximately two thirds of my hours during regular business hours, and the other third in the evenings, after my kids are asleep.
But the flexibility of freelance can be a slippery slope if you’re not careful (trust me, I've been there). Without a structured schedule enforced by management, it’s easy to blur the lines between work and home, overcommit to clients, or lose track of project timelines.
That’s why I’m excited to share Creative Circle’s latest blog post: How to Manage Your Time as a Freelancer.
It’s packed with useful advice from three seasoned freelancers who’ve learned how to balance productivity with personal time, set boundaries with clients, and build schedules that actually work.
These aren’t generic time management hacks — they’re actual insights from people who’ve made freelancing their full-time career. So, take note! 😊
