Leading web offset printer in South America invests in HEIDELBERG sheetfed solutions for the first time

Plural Industria Grafica in Brazil is one of the biggest offset printing companies in South America. It specializes in producing books, magazines, and catalogs, and it also operates in the commercial and security printing sectors. Until recently, the company worked exclusively with web offset technology. Production takes place at a 33,500-square-meter site in the Santana de Parnaíba industrial park in the Brazilian state of São Paulo. Plural is the result of a joint venture between Brazilian media specialists Folha-Group and the USA printing corporation Quad/Graphics. Carlos Jacomine, a professional with over 30 years of experience in the printing market, currently owns the company, having acquired 100% of it in 2022. Jacomine has been responsible for leading the company throughout its entire history and is widely recognized as the key figure behind its remarkable success.

HEIDELBERG/Amperfied presents new DC fast charging solution: Focus on dynamic power distribution and high availability

HEIDELBERG AMPERFIED, a subsidiary of HEIDELBERG, is entering the market for fast charging solutions complete with a comprehensive range of services. At the Power2Drive trade fair in Munich, the company unveiled its modular DC fast charging solution called Amperfied Dynamic DC, which focuses on availability and efficiency. The offering is aimed primarily at the growing demand from charging parks, logistics depots and haulage fleets for high-availability system solutions. This is because only with fast and functional charge points can charging infrastructure operators (CPOs) generate sufficient revenue and satisfy their customers, while logistics companies can maintain their supply chains.

"Ensuring high throughput and availability is the key challenge for operators of charging infrastructure in charging parks, logistics or retail," explains Jürgen Otto, CEO of HEIDELBERG. "We are addressing precisely this need with a combination of the modular hardware of Amperfied Dynamic DC with dynamic power distribution, high scalability and space-saving design and a comprehensive, performance-oriented service offering, which is what HEIDELBERG can offer worldwide."
