Meet the C++ Community in Berlin or online!
With more then 100 talks submitted and only 3 weeks left to submit I thought to give you an update about Meeting C++ 2025.
Like in the last years we will be meeting in Berlin, this year from the 6th - 8th November - at our conference hotel - the vienna house by wyndham Andel's Berlin. I've also decided to commit to being hybrid again in this year. So you can attend or speak at Meeting C++, even if you are not able to make it to Berlin. So get your tickets early!
You are welcome to submit your talk to Meeting C++ until June 4th. We're very likely to have more than the 115 submissions of last year, submitting for the online track only might increase your chances of landing a talk.
The voting on the talks for Meeting C++ 2025 will start in June.
Learning C++ with Meeting C++
One focus of my work has always been to share the links to bits and pieces of C++ knowledge. For more than 10 years I'm posting now every friday the Meeting C++ blogroll. There is an upcoming opportunity to learn about generic programming in C++ on May 26th and about Concepts, Views and Ranges on May 27th with Nicolai Josuttis, also available a single training on both days. I've started doing interviews last year, and in 2025 have interviewed the authors of these books:
In April I've took a look at vibe coding for C++, only to find out that only one of the 3 chat bots could solve my C++ problem. I want to do a follow up on this with locally running agents, and also plan to talk about some error mangement code I've recently written. More interviews are already planned, like tomorrows Mastering C++ Game Animation Programming live at 17:00 CEST.
All this is supported by the ticket sales for the Meeting C++ conference, join us in Berlin or online to get to know the C++ community.
Recruiting
One other field where I've been adding new offers is recruiting. So for those of you who are hiring or looking for a C++ job the new C++ Jobs Newsletter is interesting. I plan to send the next edition tomorrow, share your open positions via this form. You can subscribe with your Meeting C++ account or on LinkedIn.
The Meeting C++ online job fair is two weeks away, you should ask your HR department to attend in order to fill your open positions.
thanks,
Jens Weller
