GirlCode Group Summit: Owning Our Space
At the GirlCode Group Group Summit, voices of courage, allyship, and leadership came together to inspire lasting change. The day opened with Zandile Mkwanazi calling on us to speak up and build allies, setting a tone of collaboration and community.
Panels and speakers highlighted grit, resilience, and representation, but a defining moment was when Mint Group’s Head of Marketing, Sugeshni Subroyen, urged women in tech to silence imposter syndrome, to be bold, be loud, and own our space. Her words captured the spirit of the summit, reminding us that confidence is not granted, it is claimed.
From reflections on inclusivity and representation to powerful reminders about leadership and legacy, the summit was a celebration of strength and solidarity. As Nomonde White-Ndlovu closed with the reminder that we don’t need permission to belong, we are already powerful, the message was clear: the future of tech will be shaped by women who rise and take others with them.
Navigating Generational Dynamics in the Workplace
Workplaces today bring together Baby Boomers and Gen Z, each with their own strengths, perspectives, and expectations. While these differences can sometimes create friction, they also present an opportunity to build stronger, more collaborative teams.
This August, our Head of People, Lauren Clark joined the conversation live on Radio 702 to explore how organizations can navigate generational dynamics with understanding and purpose. The discussion highlighted practical ways to turn potential clashes into shared growth, creating workplaces where experience meets fresh perspective.
The message was clear: when generations learn from one another, businesses unlock innovation, resilience, and a stronger path forward.
The future of work is not about dividing by age, but about uniting strengths to create something greater together.
Mint Group at the WeInHR Pan-African Conference
On 30 August 2025, our Head of People, Lauren Clark proudly represented Mint Group as a panel speaker at the WeInHR Pan-African Virtual Conference. This landmark event brought together HR leaders, practitioners, and change makers from across industries and countries, creating a powerful platform to exchange ideas on the future of work in Africa.
The discussion tackled some of the most pressing questions facing organisations today: How do we prepare people for a workplace that is evolving faster than ever? How do we build and retain human capital that can compete on a global stage? By sharing perspectives and best practices, the panel highlighted the importance of collective action in shaping a resilient, people-centric future.
We are honoured to have contributed to such an inspiring conversation and look forward to continuing our role in driving meaningful change across the HR landscape in Africa.
Celebrating the Women of Mint
At Mint, we believe that when women rise, everyone rises. This Women’s Month, we created space to celebrate the strength, brilliance, and resilience of the incredible women who shape our journey every day.
Our World of Women (WoW) campaign honored the many ways women empower one another, from personal stories of courage to wellness sessions designed to uplift and inspire. We hosted webinars that gave our Mint ladies the tools to prioritize wellbeing, build confidence, and embrace personal growth.
Beyond the sessions, we encouraged our women to share their own stories, their journeys, and even their favorite “hype songs” to remind us all of the power of self-expression. These stories became a reminder that behind every role and responsibility is a woman balancing life with strength and grace.
We are proud that over 40% of Mint’s workforce is made up of women, spanning generations, experiences, and perspectives. Each one contributes to the culture that makes Mint who we are. Women’s Month gave us the opportunity to pause, reflect, and celebrate this diversity, reminding us that empowered women truly do empower women.
Here’s to the women of Mint, and to creating more spaces where every woman can thrive, grow, and shine.
Beyond the Target: FY26 Sales Conference
On 20–21 August, the Mint team came together for our FY26 Sales Conference under the bold theme “Beyond the Target.” Inspired by the spirit of resilience and determination, the two-day event gave us the chance to reflect on FY25, celebrate our wins, and chart an ambitious course for the year ahead.
Leadership shared valuable insights, while strategy sessions helped teams align on how we’ll deliver meaningful growth and impact for our customers in FY26. A key highlight was the participation of Microsoft leaders, who brought fresh perspectives on the future of technology and reaffirmed their commitment to deepening collaboration with Mint. Their vision sparked powerful discussions and inspired us to push the boundaries of innovation even further.
The energy was undeniable. As the conference came to a close, one message was clear, the Mint team is ready to embrace change, break barriers, and go beyond the target in FY26.
