Moving Forward to Year Two of CommonSpirit Health

Moving Forward to Year Two of CommonSpirit Health

As we celebrate the one-year anniversary of CommonSpirit Health, I could not be more proud and grateful for the great gift we have been given to serve millions of people across the country.

Over the past year, I have seen genuine acts of kindness and compassionate healing in abundance throughout CommonSpirit. I am grateful to our physicians, nurses, advanced practice clinicians, and staff who live in service to our communities. Together, we have faced great opportunities and acted with grace in the face of challenges.

2019 was a foundational year for CommonSpirit. As a combined system, we have built a stronger operational and financial foundation, which will allow us to sustain our services long into the future to meet the changing needs of our patients and communities.

It is the combination of the dedication of our caregivers, along with innovative clinical programs, that is helping us to improve patient outcomes and the patient experience. Across CommonSpirit, we are using new technologies and the very best practices from across our organization to create a seamless experience for the patients in our care.

I believe that every single person at CommonSpirit plays an important role in addressing the health disparities facing our communities. Amazing ideas and solutions can come from all parts of our organization that will help us provide the best care now and in the future. And that work starts with building a healthy culture so our people can feel supported and be themselves.

I am more resolved than ever that we can achieve our vision to transform health care. Every person in CommonSpirit brings their own unique expertise and passion to our new organization and I want to thank you all for your commitment to improve how we provide health care.

Moving into year two of CommonSpirit, I see nothing but possibilities ahead. Let us move forward together to achieve health equity in our great nation and share our caring hearts with all who we serve.
