📰 Good News:
In the heart of the Colombian Amazon, the indigenous communities of the upper Caquetá river found in native fruits a way to protect the forest and strengthen their culture. The canangucha palm, known for its resistance and abundance, becomes a symbol of life and the cornerstone of a project that combines tradition and sustainability. The venture Kabure, which in the indigenous language means “breath of life,” brings together five reservations to produce juices, jams, and pulps from Amazonian fruits. Their proposal not only aims to carve out a space in the market but also to conserve the ecosystems on which the communities depend. In addition to production, Kabure rescues ancestral practices.
