FTA COMMUNITY NEWS
BROOKLYN PARK, MN—Meet Dan Trizulny , color theorist extraordinaire and senior account director, SGS & Co. He’s passionate about printing and has been for 50+ years. His charge to fellow members of the Flexographic Technical Association: “Let’s get busy on recruiting and communicating how awesome this industry is!”
Why? “My concern is seeing our aging workforce and not seeing a lot of interest in being a plate maker, prepress operator or printing press operator. We’ll be losing a lot of experience and knowledge which will be difficult to replace.”
BOHEMIA, NY—Most every member of the Flexographic Technical Association has heard his name: Douglas E. Tuttle. The man’s a legend. Some recognize him as: the father of flexography in the U.S.; others, inventor of the anilox roll; founding father of FTA and the first, 1962, inductee into the association’s Hall of Fame—the most prestigious council of engagement in association circles.
Truth is, Tuttle was all that and more. The work that brought him all the recognition dates back to the late 1930s—nearly 90 years!. His affiliation with FTA, while more recent, stretches back to Day 1—1958. Here we take a short look back at the man and his impact.

HOLLAND, OH—“We’re not just here to print; we’re here to help make the entire project better!” Pat Sullivan, CEO, Dynamic Dies, Inc, proclaims.
“Custom printing is part art, part science,” he contends. “With the right team, smart material choices, strong partnerships, and attention to detail; you can consistently produce great results. That’s the approach we take, and it’s what helps us earn our customers’ trust project after project.”
Case-in-point, and now in the news—going Hollywood!
It’s a limited run, yet a major production at the same time.
