New Adventures, Lasting Memories

New Adventures, Lasting Memories

I recently left the best job I ever had at CognitiveScale to help found a new Company Molecula, that launched today. I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to work with and learn from some of the pioneers in the AI industry - Manoj Saxena, Akshay Sabhikhi, Matt Sanchez and many more. The last two years at CognitiveScale was such a blast, helping build a high growth businesses in a new and emerging market, cutting through the noise and hype to deliver lasting business value to clients and growing more and more optimistic of the potential that Artificial Intelligence holds to transform humanity. I owe a ton of gratitude to the CognitiveScale team and am taking memories, battle scars, learnings along that will last a lifetime. We have come a long way since I started there, and I'm so proud of you all.

One of the things I learned during my time there working with Chief Digital/Data Officers, Chief Information Officers and leaders in the market that are driving an AI-first agenda is that there is still a lot of work to be done to realize the full potential of AI. AI holds the promise of delivering a better today and a better than ever tomorrow, if targeted at the right applications, with the right intent and in the right hands. But hopes and prayers won't do it.

Data stands in the way today. Because we live in a world where we are expecting machines/algorithms to make decisions for us to augment our potential, but we don't do enough to have the Data ready for these algorithms. The Enterprise data infrastructure, built over the past decades has resulted in a mix of Databases, Data Warehouses, Streaming Data pipelines, Data Lakes and the Hadoop soup of solutions. This continues to cause a major bottleneck - the inability to integrate, prepare and clean data to power machine learning at a reasonable cost in a relatively small amount of time. And this is why we resort to practices that keeps AI in Innovation labs and sandboxes. With the trends around IoT, 5G connectivity and a multi-cloud world leaving data fragmented, coupled with the insatiable human need to shorten Data to Decision cycles, things will only get worse.

The cost of not solving this bottleneck to make AI more efficient and effective is too huge and we should not let that happen. Partnering with H.O. and the rest of the Molecula team is my next journey, and our mission is to enable where humans and machines can make better decisions with all the data, in real-time, everytime. I'm so stoked at this unique opportunity and I can't wait to be a part of a team that will help Enterprises unlock the potential of AI. Check out our vision in the wise words of H.O

PS: The CognitiveScale team turned me into an overexcited Dothraki (#GameofThrones meme) in this Adios Cake! I'll miss this team!

Hi Ganesh, had not seen this - all the very best for your new adventure! If you're ever in London, you must let me buy you a drink and tell me all about what sounds like a very interesting proposition.
