Interviews for batch #7 started a few weeks ago and we are very confident that we have many amazing teams in this cohort. Deciding on the final 13 is going to be a difficult decision!
It feels like we just ended our program for batch #4, but only have two weeks remaining with batch #6. Time flies when you have the privilege to work with innovative startups and driven partners. Luckily for us and our partners - we have a very strict no divorce policy.
Podcasts podcasts and more
Jim was invited to participate in three podcasts recently. Bright and early, he was interviewed by Evan Kirstel. Evan is an industry veteran turned social media influencer. He's published over 150 live stream interviews and generated 470K+ social media followers of which 56K+ are from LinkedIn.
You can check out his live stream videos here. Jim's session covered the Lab, our progress as a program, and current events/opportunities in 5G, edge, and enterprise. The stream recording can be found here.
Later in the day Jim hopped on a panel with TelecomTV for a session entitled, "The challenges and opportunities of a broader open ecosystem". The panel was hosted by Guy Daniels and featured the following panelists:
- Anshul Bhatt, Head of Intelligent Operations, Rakuten Symphony
- Heather Kirksey, VP of Ecosystem and Community, LF Networking
- Eugina Jordan, CMO of Telecom Infra Project
- Dr. Terje Jensen, SVP and Head of Global Network Architecture, Director 5G Readiness Strategic Program, Technologies and Services, Telenor
- Jim Brisimitzis, Founder, 5G Open Innovation Lab
This panel is one of three panels hosted at the TelecomTV Open Telco Infra Summit that you can learn about here.
On Monday of this week Jim was part of a Summit hosted by BCG where he moderated a panel with current and former batch companies in Zededa, Expeto, and Everguard.ai.
Looking ahead: We will wrap up batch #6 in early December and then close the year with our annual Winter Social where we will host our growing ecosystem while we celebrate the many accomplishments this year. We are starting to get excited about seeing all of our friends, but more importantly...the amazing food.
Stay tuned for some major updates coming soon.
