Two important things happened last week and I found out about both of them at the Institute of Fundraising (IoF) Scotland AGM.
Firstly, the fundraising think tank, Rogare (pronounced ro-ga-ray), which is part of the University of Plymouth Hartsook Centre for Sustainable Philanthropy, launched their ‘Critical Fundraising Report #2 – Scotland’.
Secondly, the IoF Scotland Executive announced their 2017-2020 strategy.
Sounds pretty boring, right? You’d be forgiven for thinking so but as I’ll be writing in the coming few weeks they both contain some rather interesting food for thought regarding the future of fundraising in Scotland.
Those that know me will attest to my enthusiastic optimism – to a fault sometimes – but on this occasion, I think there is reason for us all to be optimistic.
