ORCA Roundup May 2025
ORCA May roundup here we go! May’s been packed - from half marathons to Max’s cap chronicles, B Corp reflections to Wes Anderson musings. Here’s what we’ve been up to and what’s been catching our eye.
FRESH FROM THE STUDIO
Max Harding’s Iconic Cap Collection Hits LinkedIn
If you know our Design Director, Max Harding , you know the man loves a good cap - he’s rarely seen without one. But have you ever wondered just how deep that cap obsession goes?
Turns out, Max owns at least 35 caps. That’s the number he’s willing to admit to on LinkedIn, anyway. Now, he’s letting us in on the collection - one cap at a time.
Each week, Max is sharing a new favourite from his lineup, along with the story behind it and why it made the cut. It’s part fashion, part design philosophy, and pure Max.

ORCA’s Amy Laverick takes on the Bristol Half Marathon
We’re incredibly proud of our very own General Manager, Amy Laverick, who completed the Bristol Half Marathon 2025 in an inspiring 2 hours, 21 minutes, and 32 seconds.
Amy ran in honour of her daughter, Indie, and all the babies taken too soon. She’s raising funds for Sands, the stillbirth and neonatal death charity that supported her family during their most difficult time. Sands provides crucial grief support, improves care for bereaved families, and funds research to prevent baby loss.
You can still support Amy’s fundraising efforts and help make a difference for families like hers.
ORCA Featured on ADLIB’s Balancing Profit & Purpose
We’re proud to be featured in ADLIB’s Balancing Profit & Purpose series - a brilliant spotlight on businesses using their platform for good.
In the piece, we talk about our journey to B Corp certification, what drives us as a purpose-led brand agency, and how creativity can fuel meaningful change. From championing food equality with The MAZI Project to building brands with bold ambition, it’s a snapshot of what ORCA stands for.
WHAT’S CAUGHT OUR EYE
Type in motion, powered by code
Spotted this gem via LinkedIn - a brilliant interactive tool created by Dutch motion designer Lucas Hesse for his talk at OFFF Barcelona. It’s a playful, code-built platform that lets anyone experiment with moving type, regardless of their background or experience.
Why we love it? It strips away the barriers to entry and proves how powerful animation can be when used well. Plus, it’s all crafted with JavaScript.
ORCA’s Design Director Reacts to Wes Anderson’s The Phoenician Scheme
Max Harding, our Design Director, just saw Wes Anderson’s latest film The Phoenician Scheme, and of course, it’s packed with all the symmetrical goodness you’d expect.
Max’s favorite moment? A top-down shot that shows the whole room laid out perfectly. He also pointed out the classic Wes Anderson touch: those quirky aspect ratios that give everything a vintage, stylised feel.
Mercedes-Benz x Gustaf Westman: Collab on the new Mercedes-Benz CLA
Mercedes-Benz has teamed up with Swedish design sensation Gustaf Westman to unveil a playful new collaboration centred on the Mercedes-Benz CLA. The Gustaf Westman x Mercedes-Benz Limited Edition Capsule Collection includes the exclusive Mercedes-Benz star plate and various other camping essentials, all in Westman’s signature pink and his iconic inflated, bubble-like aesthetic.
