The power of Poseidon
Application principle and method in the heating system taking river water or seawater as heat source
1) Heating system summary
(a) Purpose: the temperature of river water and sea water is lower than the atmospheric temperature in summer while higher in winter. Such temperature difference can be used by the heat pump to provide the heat energy required by the air conditioner, heat supply and domestic hot water.
(b) Mode: in the past, a conventional air conditioner must be equipped with a heat (cold) source machine meanwhile the cooling tower should also be set on the roof for heat exchange with the atmosphere. In the heat pump air-conditioning heating system, the river or sea water in the water intake device which is set on the ocean shore or river bank can be sent directly or indirectly (by the heat exchanger) through a pipe to the heat pump and be retransmissioned into the river or sea after heat transfer.
2) The equipment using river water or sea water
(a) Composition and function
· Water sampler: including intake equipment that intake river water or sea water directly, discharge outlet equipment and intake pump.
· Thermal recovery plate heat exchanger: thermal recovery plate heat exchanger taking river water or sea water as heat source.
· Pipe network: the pipeline delivering the river or sea water from the river or sea to the thermal springs (including the heat exchanger and various valves).
· Manhole. For the installation of pipe connection pump, valves and other devices, the building which is set underground and connected to the upper surface for the easy access.
. Delivery pump. The pump which outlets or recycles seawater, river water or heat source water after heat transfer.
· Dirt separator. The filter which removes contaminants from seawater or river water.
· Anti-biofouling device. The device which prevents river or marine organism attaching to the pipe network.
· Metering device. The device measuring and managing the heat obtained from river water or sea water.
· Automatic adjustment device. The device which adjusts the heating or cooling supply automatically by controlling the flow and the temperature.
(b) Conditions. Quantity, temperature and quality of water must meet the requirements of the user and all the equipment performance must meet the national and relevant department standards.
