Are you feeling overwhelmed?

Are you feeling too many feelings all at the same time? Are there are too many tasks to do all at once and you can't even focus on one because there are too many racing thoughts?

It can be really difficult to calm yourself down or to get a hold on what you need to do.

Let's hit the PAUSE button together! (A simple exercise you can do right now)

P: Pay attention to your breath. Take a deep breath in and out.

A: Allow your mind to settle along with your breathing

U: Unwind (forget about the tasks and the timelines)

S: Sense the things around you, your surroundings, the noises you hear, 3 things you can touch (keep breathing in and out)

E: Envision, imagine you are in a happy place, feel all your tension leaving your body.

You can stay here and continue to breathe for as long as you need. If you feel you're ready and have a sense of what's happening inside and around you in this moment, you can stop here.

Explore how you can break down your to-do list or task into small chunks. You don't need to see the final project to make the first move. What may seem like small actions can actually lead to big changes.

Say to yourself “This is a difficult moment. But I am not alone in this struggle”.

It may take some time and practice to feel better and come out from those overwhelming moments. But you can always use this exercise.
