David Stacy, PE, Honored at the SFPE Annual Conference

In our last newsletter, we announced our founder, David Stacy, PE, earned the SFPE Trailblazer Award for pioneering advancements in fire safety engineering.

We’re thrilled that David received his award at this year’s SFPE Annual Conference & Expo!

Here’s what David had to say about his award:

“It's an honor to work with the best and highest energy FPEs in the business, which, in my eyes, makes this award the PBFPE Trailblazing Team, not an individual ‘Trailblazer.’”

Team Building Day in Kentucky

Before the SFPE Annual Conference & Expo started, the PBFPE team arrived in Kentucky early to bond and enjoy local spots.

The team toured Kismet Farms, a thoroughbred horse farm, where they saw foals from Curlin and Justify.

Later, we inspected fire protection systems at Woodford Reserve and Buffalo Trace Distillery. It was a wonderful experience getting to spend time with our teammates and their partners.

Bringing Fire Protection Expertise to the Bahamas

One of our newest team members, Christopher Hallock, PE, had the experience of a lifetime when he visited the Bahamas to perform Qualified Fire Protection Engineer (QFPE) services.

The client required fire protection system designs tailored for military installations. Chris conducted a thorough hazard evaluation, assessing applicable codes under UFC and NFPA standards. He then delivered a code-compliant design and collaborated closely with the client to align operational adjustments with the storage arrangements.

The project was a resounding success. Who knows what other adventures the future holds for our team?
