Pens instead of Swords

I've struggled a LOT to find the right words about the situation, because whatever you say, it won't be enough to qualify the horrors we see happening again. As for the video I refer: If you know of a similar person/rapper on the Israeli side (I've came across some, but I don't remember them), let me know, please.

Of course I condemn the horrors of the Hamas, and their actions, besides being horrific, are just also plain stupid, because it won't help anyone in the situation.

At the End, they will probably lose more people from their own families as they will kill on the other side. All innocent people. How can one be that stupid? How can one be that horrible? — I would have said the same the other way around, obviously.

As of now, more Arabs will hate more Israelis, and more Israelis will hate more Arabs. More Racists in the World will call Muslims terrorists, and those who pretend the Shoah never existed, all of a sudden, will be the greatest defenders of Israel...

I am not gonna pray for anyone, because I'm not religious at all. I will hope though, that things clears off soon, and at one point, in the future, a viable solution for both will work. I actually couldn't care less who your god is, but there's just so much similarities behind all of your values, that it's what should prevail. Condemn the extremists among you, and give credits to those who have been looking for other options since forever.

The gist of my post is that Abdul has been advocating for Peace since he was 10 or 11 years old. Now he's only in the US since a few weeks, in security, and that's when that thing happens... The last song he produced only a few weeks ago defines exactly what we need: Pens instead of Swords.

Furthermore, we need people to speak more to each other. The reality of this horrible world right now is that if you are jew or only from Israel, Muslim or only from an Arab country, African or only Black, .... You'll have a lot of people hating you, which is horrific.

Being German was also once horrible, in the 60s, even if you were one of the good ones and never ruled for Hitler, you'd be hated wherever you go.

I'm one of those who never got hated for anything, because people never see me as a stranger, even though I don't belong to a specific country. As much as I hate it (to be privileged for no other reason than my skin color, my (non) religion, or any other stupid thing!), it is my duty to use that privilege (that "window") to spread words about unity and love, whoever you are from, dammit!

Everywhere, people feel oppressed and need to go somewhere to feel safe. In the case of Israel & Palestine, it's obvious that — sadly — no one is nowhere safe, and I don't see it becoming better anytime soon, which breaks my heart.

Right now, the best thing we can do is educate our children to learn languages and cultures and understand each other. We can discuss, we can even shout at each other, but we should strive to never come to use our hands or weapons. We should strive to find solutions at the diplomacy level, instead of the war field.

I say strive, because I know enough examples of Ukrainians who never thought they'd have to reach a weapon. I also know people who recently lost beloved ones. At one point, even those most peaceful of us might have their coin flipped and become terrorists.

We cannot let hate become greater than love. Let's stay strong, all together.
