Mandela Day 2025: Honouring a legacy, driving real change

On Friday, 18 July, corporate sustainability teams across South Africa came together to remember Nelson Mandela and to live out his values through action, compassion and giving back. This year’s Mandela Day was a true reflection and demonstration of what it means to drive change where it matters most.

From food security to education and from environmental care to economic inclusion, our South African regions led impactful initiatives. These initiatives were aligned to several of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, including good health and wellbeing, quality education, and reducing inequalities.

Let’s keep that momentum going, because every day holds the power to be a Mandela Day! #MandelaDay2025 #HappyMandelaDay

SATIC turns two

The South Africa Technology Innovation Centre (SATIC) celebrated two years of purposeful growth, impact and transformation that led to a team of 420 employees, of which 61% are women and 89% from diverse backgrounds. As we step into the Next Era, SATIC is aligned with a bold and collaborative vision of delivering consistent impact and making a difference in society.

Highlights from the past year include a library that was built at Eqinisweni Secondary School in Thembisa and empowering 66 students through digital skills programmes with Skills Panda and the Maharishi Invincibility Institute. This milestone symbolises a commitment to building trust and solving important problems. #SATICTurnsTwo #CelebratingSuccess
