A PMT EARTH DAY SHAMANIC TALE
by don Oscar Miro-Quesada
Under the divine radiance of the stars, a unique altar is revealed. It's a sacred mandala, a blend of earth and cosmos, woven with ancient wisdom and timeless reverence. This is our Pachakuti Mesa Tradition, a ritual space that forever shines with the love-filled heart of Creation.
Stones worn smooth by a thousand rivers rested gently alongside feathers that once caressed the skies. Crystals glowing softly, holding memories of Earth's fiery youth, and mosses whispered tender green hymns honoring life's enduring pulse. Candles that flicker softly, each flame dancing a prayer to ancestors long past yet ever-present.
Here, within this transformative ritual sanctuary, within this alchemical cauldron of life-beautifying service, humanity is prophesied to find its way home again. People from the frantic streets of a hurried world, their spirits weary from the noise of endless distraction, heed The Call to gather around this sacred altar ground, free of pretense or motivations of personal gain. Today, two-legged from The Four Directions rediscover the gentle art of empathic listening—to the wind, waters, trees, stones, animal kin, our beloved Gaia-Pachamama's heartbeat, and most consequential, to each other, forging a deep sense of unity and connection.
At the altar's center, etched in symbols older than language, a cosmic map unfolds, illuminating pathways of harmony and ayni-based reciprocity. Each glyph reminds us of our sacred duty and kamasqa compacto as humankind: to reverently weave our lives in seamless reciprocal relationships into the multidimensional tapestry of All That Is—our actions founded upon unwavering trust in the Great Originating Mystery.
Something wondrous occurs as our hands softly place offerings of love and visionary intention upon this Earth Day sanctified ground. The invisible threads of ancient wisdom begin to pulse, glowing with an empyrean light as they weave through each soul gathered. Hearts once heavy now flutter lightly, like Maat's feather, buoyant with the remembrance of the preciousness that infuses life's ineffable cosmic origins.
The timeless medicine songs of the Pachakuti Mesa lineage, a sacred tradition with roots that stretch back through the mists of time, become clear. These songs, passed down through generations, carry our ancestors' wisdom and healing power. The song of Amaru the creepy crawler, slithering and coiling through moist, cavernous, bodily healing earth; the song of Challwa, the graceful swimmers, flowing effortlessly through curative waters for opening heart; the song of Kuntur soaring in vast, limitless skies tasked with honoring spiritual remembrance, the song of Poma stalking and striding boldly in peaceful transformation within labyrinthine corridors of mind; the spiraling song of Llama, akin to the Music Of The Spheres empower the trusting of soul and attainment of hermetic wisdom. Celestial melodies mingled with the deep murmurs of sacred stone and fertile earth, forming an orchestral symphony, a lullaby to awaken humanity from its slumber.
This Pachakuti Mesa lineage ritualized Earth Day offering, this ofrenda maestra de mesada curanderíl, a jubilant mystical gift of Thothian animacy from Heart Island's shamanic sages, resonates as a beacon for a new age—a reminder that our destiny and our origins are entwined. It teaches all who approach it with reverence and ritual grace that we are an integral part of Mother Earth that each breath we take, every inhalation and exhalation is a ritual gesture, a cosmically regenerative species-wide consecration to the sacred web of life, our lives an endless dance of giving and receiving.
And thus, under the majestic canopy of stars Above, on this Earth Day of 2025, we celebrate Below, the Pachakuti Mesa Tradition generously whispers its seven-generation prophetic vision clearly into the hearts of all who listen, guiding us on our path:
Re-Member, beloved humanity. The time is Now, and now is the Time. Awaken to the divine rhythm pulsing within your own heart. Rise to live the beauty that you seek. Gaia-Pachamama is calling, and your soul already knows the way home. Hence, this ritual empowers you to embrace your spiritual path with visionary inspiration and a graceful presence of Being — Hinayá!
