Proud Day with Launch of Basecamp Phoenix
For over a year, Robin Bramman has been apart of the virtual Women Who Startup engagement on Slack and time and time again I took note that she was very interested in being more involved and somehow getting more from what Women Who Startup has to offer - but she felt she was missing out by not being based in Colorado.
So when Galvanize announced that they were launching Galvanize Phoenix, another very dynamic campus of theirs the lightbulbs went off and Robin was getting excited about considering to step into a Basecamp Leadership role. Galvanize is a strategic Partner of Women Who Startup and we'll be launching at each Campus now through 2018 and on.
And she did. For months now I've been working on helping Robin get prepared with all she needed from WWS and from Galvanize to be successful by leading the monthly event series, Basecamp in Phoenix, Arizona.
Last night I was hosting Basecamp Boulder and while I was I jumped on a live chat with the kickoff event at Basecamp Phoenix - that was a first and it was great fun.
When I saw this picture, late Tuesday night - after driving back to Denver from Boulder (for the dozenth time this month) I got home and there it was. We finally got to the point where another leader in her community raised the flag, the Women Who Startup flag. I felt and feel nothing but proud, honored, inspired by Robin and her co-organizer Kristina Hallberg and I want to make sure that they have all the support in their community to keep shining a spotlight on female entrepreneurs and innovators and making sure that another great community joins Women Who Startup Global.
Keep Climbing, Phoenix. You certainly are Rising!
Women Who Startup Global is launching June 1, 2017 - stay tuned via our newsletter and we look forward to connecting female entrepreneurs and innovators from every corner of the world with the most powerful learning, engagement and supportive community on earth. Rapid acceleration, access to mentors, resources and capital is what women want and this community is supporting each other unlike anything I've ever seen.
Women Who Startup now has 4 official Basecamp's - monthly events, you can find the details on upcoming events in Denver, Boulder, Colorado Springs and Phoenix here.

8yLizelle van Vuuren that red flag was flying high (not a mile high) but it certainly caught the wind of energy going on with the Women Who Startup at Basecamp Phoenix. And I can not take the credit for that amazing launch alone. It took your consistent support weekly since back in August of 2016 to take the lead and just committ. You are a bulldog that keeps the engagement going on the platform and via video, I can't wait to see you in person next week :) Credit also goes to my co-organizer Kristina Hallberg, RDN who whipped up some mocktails with small bites and donated cookies from @hungerbombcookies. And helped me hold the flag high! I am also very appreciative to WWS global partner Galvanize for the massive venue that held 70+ women innovators captive for two hours to listen to Fashion Incubator co-founders tell their amazing startup story. And major props goes out to the full team at Galvanize Phoenix with GM Diana Vowels leadership along with the local event teamand the National Partnership Developer Michael Seiler. And it all started with Sean Kauppinen and Arnold Jee from RareLabs.io sponsoring the full year for our basecamp events. And now we have an annual video sponsor, Stacie Mallen who stepped up just before the launch to be sure we can capture the energy and information through video monthly. She is a Women co-founder team with a Sr. female video producer. Feeling the love from Colorado to Arizona - we are Rising Up together! #keepclimbing
