Purpose Meets Platform.
I remember sitting on my couch watching the Grammys, and I was stopped in my tracks—mid-scroll on my phone—when I saw this commercial. I replayed it again… and again. I couldn’t stop thinking about how powerful the message was. I scheduled the mammogram I had been putting off for a year the very next week.
And so, tonight’s #TrailblazingTuesday spotlights a partnership with purpose—and one I couldn’t be prouder of.
Fast forward 2 months later, and I am so pleased to share that Eli Lilly and Company has been announced as the title partner for both the 2025 Women’s College All-Star Game and the inaugural Women’s College All-Star Combine—a powerful new platform for graduating athletes to showcase their talent just days ahead of the WNBA Draft.
Trailblazing Sports Group helped bring this vision to life, securing Lilly’s sponsorship on behalf of our trailblazing partners at Intersport the event’s operator and with some of the best sports marketers in the business at Optimum Sports cc Jackie Brown Kristen Gray Vanessa Ramada Curt Loughran Chris Freeman Heather Obering Kayleigh Helgeson
Why This Partnership Matters:
✨ The First-Ever Combine: Taking place April 11th in Tampa the Combine offers elite draft hopefuls a space to test, train, and compete in front of pro scouts and coaches through drills, scrimmages, and evaluations—amplifying opportunities for visibility and W draft exposure.
🩷 Purpose Meets Platform: Lilly is integrating its mission to advance women's health by offering free mammograms during the All Star event in partnership with Black Health Matters. Athletes will wear jerseys marked with the number 99, highlighting the 99% survival rate when breast cancer is detected early.
📺 Live National Coverage: The 2025 All-Star Game tips off Saturday, April 12 at 3 p.m. ET—live on ESPN2, and special segment you won't want to miss on CBS Sports' At The Buzzer featuring Lisa Fortier, the coach of Gonzaga and breast cancer warrior at 1 p.m. ET - on CBS.
As one of my good friends - a mom of 3 in her 40's - shared her breast cancer diagnosis this past week, and having known so many warriors who have fought this disease, this partnership is deeply personal.
I am grateful to Lilly & OS for their bold support, and to Intersport for their leadership and partnership on breaking new ground in women's basketball.
Here's to keep pushing boundaries. Here's to getting mammograms. Here's to trailblazing.
