Quantum Processor Wars? - Microsoft Majorana 1 vs Google Willow

Discussions about quantum computing have been ongoing for decades, yet the field remains in its early stages. While extensive research is underway, tangible advancements accessible to the public are still rare. Recently, Microsoft announced Majorana 1, a chip based on topological qubits designed to improve quantum stability. Similarly, Google introduced its Willow quantum processor, aimed at reducing error rates for scalable quantum computing. While both represent significant progress, their practical applications remain distant, and full transparency is limited to research publications. It seems there is still a long way to go before widespread adoption.
