The BizBash Connect Spring Marketplace was an energizing experience as we enter into Q2 of 2025, filled with insights, innovation, and impactful connections. Here are my top five takeaways from this event:

Meaningful Connections Happen Everywhere

Connect lived up to its name – an opportunity to bring together passionate hospitality professionals from across the globe. From chatting in scheduled appointments, to educational sessions, and causal moments in the hallway, this conference provided a space to exchange ideas and built new relationships at every turn. 

First Impressions Matter – But What Happens Next is What Counts!

Although the one-on-one appointments went quick, I learned that first impressions only lay the foundation for powerful connections. These initial introductions sparked deeper conversations throughout the conference!

Conversations that Keep Going

Hospitality professionals are always on top of the newest trends in the industry and have to stay one step ahead. BizBash-themed education sessions were more than just informative – the sessions sparked conversation that continued outside the ballroom. 

Experience the Experiences

As event professionals, we’re often behind the scenes, ensuring every details runs smoothly – but we rarely get to fully experience the activations that we design. Connect offered us interactive experiences like a puppy lounge, llama encounter, a cat café, candy stations, and more. This was a powerful reminder of the impact these moments create – an inspiration to continuing bringing these memories to our clients.  

Always Make Room to Give Back

Connect reminded us that every event is an opportunity to make a different. Attendees were each a “Fill It Forward” Bottle to help minimize the environmental impact. Hosts was able to partner with local organizations, Unshakeable and SafeNest, to help educate attendees at the BizBash Leadership Summit on how they can play a role in combating human trafficking. As event architects, we have the power to build moments of purpose into our programs – Connect reminded us of this meaningful responsibility.
