The Recipe For Life Weekly - Edition 20 - You are not alone

Not gonna lie, this month has been a challenge! In so many ways but in particular, work and finances. It's been fascinating, to put a positive light on it. A project I was expecting to start this month, that was supporting my day to day living, as I grow certain aspects of my business, didn't happen... *visualise a white knuckle roller coaster ride, grits teeth, battens down the hatches and looks on in horror* kind of reaction! Yes folks, as you build your empire, sometimes you have to do work in order to supplement your income.

*Deep breath* moving on.... Needless to say, for a short while I went into my little shell to nurse my wounded heart and bank balance. For that moment, I felt very alone. I was disappointed because I'm human, and went through a range of emotions from worry to fear to lack to anxiety. Yes, even us spiritually practising, higher plane folk have those moments of *human reality*! Of course, once I'd picked myself up, in true enterpreneur, single mum, child of immigrant parents, fashion I went out there and hustled. Sometimes you just gotta do these things.

By way of hustle, I mean I reached out to my network, to the people I hold near and dear, to the ones that I know would always be there for me as I for them. I also reached out to my wider network, those that I knew had an affinity with the areas of work I am in. You see, I believe that if you want to get ahead in life and you want to succeed in anything, you can't do it alone. What's that saying, "It's lonely at the top?" Well it is if you think you got there on your own or by treating others like poo!

My life value, my ethos is that as I move up the ladder and grow, I'm taking all of my nearest and dearest with me and doing my damned hardest to help anyone I can along the way. We don't arrive on this earth without a little help, it takes two to make a being, and it takes a whole village to raise a child. You are never alone. There is always someone out there who wants to help you, who wants to see you do well. The question is, are you prepared to open your heart and mind to accepting this kindness from others?

When it comes to work and any relationship, it’s better to be part of a vibrant collection of ingredients that come together to create a symphony of magical flavours than it is to be one lone vegetable desperately trying to make a sauce.  You are a creator and creators need co-creators to really make their project work. Of course, you pick your co-conspirators carefully, ensuring they gel well with your idea, they are on the same page of thinking, they can hold you accountable, they can challenge ideas and enhance them. Consider your inner circle as your family, they are your trusted confidantes, they are part of your future. You champion and elevate each other. You have a common goal and interest that includes the greater good of all humanity. 

We are all one and with an attitude of generosity and love, we can make our own lives and the lives of others, and the world, a much better place to be.
