🌟 Episode Highlights

1️⃣ How robotics are reshaping the future of vascular procedures

Guest: David Fischel, health care executive

David explains how robotic-assisted systems are addressing long-standing challenges in endovascular care by improving precision, reducing variability, and easing the physical strain on clinicians. He explores how modern platforms—through integration with imaging, user-centric design, and workflow efficiency—are enabling adoption at scale. Listeners will gain insights into how robotics are redefining vascular care and why they signal a new foundation for precision interventions.

Guest: Max Rollwage, health care executive

Max highlights the risks of evaluating AI systems through artificial scenarios or circular validation, especially in high-stakes environments like emergency care. He emphasizes the need for real-world trials, human expertise, and outcome-focused studies, while outlining the role of regulators in setting standards. Listeners will gain a balanced understanding of AI’s potential and its risks, and what it will take to responsibly bring these tools to the bedside.

3️⃣ The business lesson new doctors must unlearn

He explains the importance of shifting from soldier to CEO mindset, building win-win relationships, and protecting one’s career autonomy. Listeners will discover strategies to prevent burnout, safeguard financial independence, and maximize long-term satisfaction.

Huge fan of this lineup, Kevin. It’s powerful to see such a range—from robotics and AI to physician mindset shifts and nutrition in psychiatry—all in one thread. Jessie Mahoney’s episode on caregiving especially struck a chord. Many of us are navigating both clinician and caregiver roles, and the emotional toll is rarely acknowledged in training. Mindfulness and grace aren’t just buzzwords—they’re survival tools. Appreciate you creating space for these conversations week after week. Looking forward to tuning in.
