Rostro Group & Rostro Foundation Pledge €100,000 in Support of Cyprus Wildfire Relief

Limassol, Cyprus – July 28, 2025 — Rostro Group, together with Rostro Foundation, today confirmed a combined pledge of €100,000 to support humanitarian and environmental relief efforts following one of the most devastating and destructive wildfires in Cyprus in over 50 years. These funds will be used toward coordinated aid for affected communities and the restoration of impacted ecosystems.

The destruction has been severe—claiming lives, displacing residents, and damaging homes, businesses, and vital ecosystems. The combined pledge from Rostro Group and Rostro Foundation will be directed toward accredited humanitarian organizations providing frontline assistance and long-term recovery support, environmental NGOs and local authorities. Further details will be provided at a later date.

Rostro Group is a diversified financial services group and the parent company of Scope Markets, which has been operating in Cyprus since 2014. With a significant portion of its team based in Cyprus, the Group’s donation reflects a deep sense of responsibility and solidarity with the local community during this time of crisis.

Roger Hambury , owner and founder of Rostro Group, commented:

"This crisis has affected communities and landscapes at the heart of Cyprus. As a company deeply connected to the island, we feel a strong responsibility to contribute meaningfully. Alongside the Rostro Foundation, we aim to support both immediate relief efforts and sustainable recovery. We encourage others in the business community and beyond, to contribute in any way they are able.”

Employees will also be released from work duties during the week to volunteer with environmental and community organizations, as part of broader efforts to provide relief and facilitate recovery.

Constantinos Shakallis , CEO of Scope Markets Cyprus, added:

“Cyprus is more than just the home of our operations, it is the home of so many of our people. This is deeply personal for us, as many of our colleagues, friends and families live in the affected areas. In times like these, it is essential that we stand by our local communities. Supporting this cause is not just the right thing to do, it is the necessary thing to do.”
