A Salesforce Journey: 13 Years of Growth, Learning, and Connections

My Salesforce journey began in 2011 when Chandima Cooray introduced the concept at Sabre Technologies. Together with Chamil Madusanka ☁ 🇱🇰 , Amila Weerasekara , Thushara Samaradiwakara and others, we formed a passionate team to drive Salesforce adoption. Under Sriyangi’s guidance, we began transforming the processes at MAS, with Dennis as our first mentor on the Force.com platform.

Over the years, my role expanded beyond just projects. From organizing the first Salesforce meetup in Sri Lanka to the most recent one in 2021, I was always there capturing moments, organizing events, building partnerships, and supporting the community in various ways.

Though some contributions remained behind the scenes, the lessons and relationships I gained kept me going. Even when life led me away from Salesforce in 2022, I carried the connections and values it taught me. It wasn’t about monetary rewards it was about earning trust, building relationships, and understanding the true value of collaboration.

Destiny, as it often does, brought me back. Thanks to Ramesh Shanmuganathan , I found myself re-engaging with Salesforce. Now, I’ve completed my first Salesforce Certification in over a decade, a milestone that signifies a renewed commitment.

This journey wouldn’t have been possible without the incredible people who inspired and supported me. I want to express my deepest gratitude to Chandima Cooray Chathuranga Abeysinghe ACMA,CGMA Tharanga Perera ☁ Panthaka Senaratna Ramesh Shanmuganathan Chrishantha Fernando Jeyakumar Kirishna Ruban Chamil Madusanka ☁ 🇱🇰, Amila Weerasekara Ajith Ranasinha Pasan Gonakumbura Janaka Samaraweera Ushaan Abeywickrema Sivasree Devinarayanan Shivanath Devinarayanan Vetriselvan Manoharan Mitul Patel Chathura Ranasinghe ThiriyambagaSarma Sothinathan ☁️. Your guidance, encouragement, and camaraderie have been invaluable.

As I embark on this new chapter, I look forward to reconnecting with old colleagues, engaging with the community, and contributing to Salesforce in meaningful ways.

Thank you all for being part of this journey, let's continue to create something extraordinary together!
