Is scepticism stopping you from growth?
Every week, I share content ideas for you
But what's the point?
This was a question I was asked this week, and it got me doing a RANT VIDEO. How can you say something doesn't work if you don't try with effort
The gyms are all fully booked in January
But by the time February comes and we still have a belly, we denounce that it doesn't work😂
How can we really get results if we do not put in the effort? To say that something doesn't work because we've spoken to a group of people who all believe the same thing doesn't help us either.
Everything that I am doing is all down to what I do on LinkedIn
I know it works
All you have to do is put
in a little effort and I can show you how at my free drop-in session on Monday. See below for more info.
In the meantime, here's my weekly newsletter to help you come up with content ideas
and my video that I shot on my Paddleboard
Here's my ideas for this week
1. Summer Holidays
Are you planning a trip soon? The holiday season is packed with content ideas. I’ve already had my summer break, and now I have FOMO, but living by the sea is a bit of a bonus, and also a distraction!!
Here are some ways to turn this into content:
Share your holiday destination or dream getaway
Talk about packing tips or travel rituals (I need these)
Reflect on how a break boosts your energy or ideas
2. Getting Out on the Water
This week's video came straight from my paddleboard, because I can . Last week, I was networking on a boat. Whether it’s a river, the sea or even a local pool, there’s something about water that gets people talking.
Try these content ideas:
Share what you love about water and how it makes you feel
Show a photo from your last water-based adventure
Ask others what their ideal water escape would be
3. Video Game Day - Friday 12 July
The video game industry is huge. It’s not just for kids anymore. My last big moment in gaming was Pac-Man, which also happened to be my CB radio handle back in the day. Are you old enough to even know what one of those is? I guess it was the social media of its day.
Here's how to turn gaming into a post:
Share a game you loved (or still play)
Talk about what gaming taught you about focus or resilience
Ask your network if they unwind with games and why not try a poll or even a chart. Or perhaps a LinkedIn gaming club?
4. Ice Cream Month
July is ice cream month, and when you live in Sidmouth, it’s hard to resist because we have so many ice-cream huts, shops and seller. My go-to flavour is Ferrero Rocher from Taste who make the best gelato ever!! Do you have a favourite flavour?
Ideas for turning this into content:
Give a shout-out to a local ice cream shop
Run a poll with flavour choices
Share a childhood memory about summer treats or that photo with it running down your chest.
5. Local Festivals and SidFest
I’m back on stage next weekend 12 July, compèring SidFest, not the band, but controlling things. How did that happen? why am I in charge? Local events like this are brilliant fun, and they also give a big boost to the local economy and it's been fun getting involved too.
You could post about:
A local event you’re involved with
What these events do for your town or business
How music, food, or community brings people together
Need a push to post?
These ideas are meant to get you started and spark ideas that suit your voice and audience. If you’re still stuck, I’m always happy to help. Just reply to this email, or join my drop-in this coming Monday.
Creating content can be fun and easy; you just need to practice, and this starts by reading other people's content on LinkedIn and adding a comment. Try something yourself and see where it goes. You won't go viral. But people will get to see you, and that's where it starts.
