Seeking Abstracts: Research and Policy Insights on Climate Change

Seeking Abstracts: Research and Policy Insights on Climate Change

Greetings,

Health Affairs is planning a theme issue on the intersections of climate, health, and equity.

The May 2026 issue will feature approximately 20 peer-reviewed articles, including new empirical research, analyses, perspectives from community leaders, and policy proposals for multi-scalar responses to climate threats.

We invite all interested authors to submit abstracts for consideration for this issue.

The submission portal is open now.

In order to be considered, abstracts must be submitted no later than 11:59 PM Eastern time (U.S.), August 11, 2025. We regret that we will not be able to consider any abstracts submitted after that date.

Abstracts must be submitted via our abstract submission portal—abstracts submitted via other channels will not be considered.

For this issue, we are interested in publishing work that will:

  • Enhance the national and global dialogue around responses to the health impacts of climate change
  • Signal the importance of continued research
  • Provide a compendium of articles highlighting evidence-based strategies, best practices, and lessons learned
