SEG Solar Celebrates Successful Operation of First Phase at Indonesia Photovoltaic Industrial Park

Batang, Central Java, Indonesia, August 8, 2025 – SEG Solar (SEG), a leading U.S. photovoltaic module manufacturer, officially celebrated the successful operation of the first phase of its photovoltaic industrial park in Batang, Central Java, Indonesia. This milestone marks a new chapter in SEG's strategic expansion across Southeast Asia. The event not only demonstrates SEG's deep commitment to investing in Indonesia and solidifying its position as a global leader in the solar industry, but also injects fresh momentum into local economic development and the green energy transition.

The ceremony was attended by over 20 senior officials and business leaders, including Komjen Pol (Purn) Drs. Ahmad Luthfi, S.H., S.St.M.K., Governor of Central Java; M. Faiz Kurniawan, District Head of Batang Regency; Tjerja Karja Adil, Head Administrator of KEK Kendal & Batang; Ngurah Wirawan, President Director of KITB; and representatives from the Batang Kendal Economic Zone (KEK), Directorate General of Customs and Excise, and the ATW Group. Also in attendance were Jun Zhuge, Founder and CEO of PT SEG Solar; Michael Eden, Co-Founder and General Counsel of SEG Solar; and more than 100 SEG employees from the company's U.S. and Indonesian teams.

At the event, government officials and SEG executives delivered keynote speeches, offering heartfelt congratulations on the successful commencement of mass production and initial shipments from the Indonesia PV park.

A subsequent awards ceremony recognized employees and departments for outstanding performance over the past year, presenting certificates and bonuses to honorees. Awards spanned multiple categories, including "Outstanding Team," "Outstanding Performer," "Operational Excellence," and "Rising Star," highlighting SEG's team culture of creating value through action and driving progress through collaboration.

The celebration brought together SEG employees from around the world for a vibrant showcase of multicultural talent and team creativity. Energetic group dances, authentic Indonesian traditional performances, moving solo vocals, and dynamic band performances highlighted the employees' diverse talents and elevated the atmosphere to a festive high. Cheers and applause filled the venue, vividly embodying SEG's open, collaborative, and forward-moving corporate culture.

During the ceremony, SEG formalized a cooperation agreement with Indonesian local partner PT ATW Modul Manufaktur. The partnership will leverage SEG's high-performance, highly reliable N-type solar cells to establish localized supply collaboration. The two parties will integrate resources, deepen industrial chain synergy, focus on the Indonesian market, and support the advancement of Indonesia's PV manufacturing sector.

The event concluded with a tour of SEG's advanced solar cell production line, where guests gained firsthand insights into core manufacturing processes and product technology. The clean, well-lit production and viewing areas left a strong impression on attendees, marking the successful conclusion of the inauguration ceremony.

With a total investment exceeding $500 million and spanning 101.14 acres, the SEG Indonesia PV Industrial Park has now fully completed its first phase. The facility has achieved initial cell shipments, confirming its capability for stable and efficient solar cell production and officially entering a new phase of mass manufacturing and delivery.
