Let's All Give Life Insurance a Little More Love

September is Life Insurance Awareness Month (LIAM)
Why and How Do I Love Life Insurance?
Let me count the way:
Life insurers pay out over $831.9 billion in total benefits annually
including death benefits, annuity benefits, and others, according to the Insurance Information Institute's 2023 data.
This figure can be broken down to an estimated over $2.2 billion in payouts per day in the U.S. (calculated by dividing $831.9 billion by 365 days).
That is $2.2 billion in payouts per day!
Who else does that?
No one, no industry that I can think of.
170 to 175 million Americans count on life insurers to protect their financial futures.
And life insurers come through!
Recent reports indicate that about 51% to 52% of adults have some form of life insurance coverage.
I'm just getting warmed up.
I will be adding more reasons why I love life insurance and why you should too.
What are some of the reasons you love life insurance?
Let's all give life insurance some extra love this September, Life Insurance Awareness Month.

3wInitially, I wasn't going to carry life insurance past age 65. But, as you get older, the truth is, you can't rely on your assets. If my kids need to take care of me, much later, I want them to have some money to possibly reimburse them for some of their costs ($ and time). As long as I don't lapse my policy! You know, years ago, the life industry produced insurance policies you couldn't lapse. I owned such a policy in favor of my first late wife. But she predeceased me and under the terms of the policy, it terminated. But, today, carriers no longer wish to manufacture such products. too bad (sigh). It's a different world today. Sheryl J.
