The Simplest Way to Track Your Sleep (No Tech Required)

Sleep trackers are everywhere — rings, watches, apps, patches.

But here’s a truth most people miss:

Your own awareness is often more powerful than tech.

And it costs nothing.

Use this 3-question journal prompt every morning for 7 days:

  1. How many hours do I think I slept?
  2. How did I feel 30 minutes after waking up?
  3. Did I wake up during the night (and if so, why)?

That’s it. No numbers, no graphs — just patterns.

After a week, you’ll start noticing:

  • Which days lead to better sleep
  • What’s disrupting you
  • And how your energy correlates with sleep quality

One Insight: Awareness beats obsession. You don’t need more data — you need better decisions.

One Tool to Use: Start a 7-day Sleep Reflection Journal. Paper, voice notes, or Notes app. Just keep it consistent.
