Soar Like the Eagle: Unleashing the Leader Within
Have you ever heard the story of the eagle's egg that was mistakenly placed in a crow’s nest? Hatched and raised by crows, the young eagle grew up thinking it was one of them. It hopped like them, cawed like them, and flew only short distances like they did. It lived in the lowlands, unaware that it was born to rule the skies.
Then one day, an eagle appeared in the sky, threatening the flock. As panic struck the crows, something stirred deep within the young eagle. A quiet voice rose inside, whispering a challenge: “You were made for more. You were born to rise.”
And in that moment, the eaglet spread its wings wider than ever before. Fueled by belief and instinct, it soared higher and higher, confronting the invading eagle. The challenger, unprepared for the young eagle’s power, retreated. The young eagle, shocked at its own strength, realized it was never a crow to begin with. It left the flock behind and ascended into the high places where eagles belong, where vision is clear, air is pure, and purpose is king.
The Leadership Within You
Leadership isn’t just about title or position, it’s about identity. Many live like crows, trapped in environments that define their limits, not their potential. But real leadership begins when you realize you were never meant for the lowlands. You were made to soar.
Ephesians 4:22–24 urges us to "put off your old self... to be made new in the attitude of your minds... and to put on the new self." Leadership requires transformation. It’s a decision to believe, to rise, and to lead from the truth of who you are, not from the lies of who you were told to be.
Likewise, Hosea 4:6 reminds us, “My people are being destroyed for lack of knowledge.” When you don’t know who you are, you’ll settle for less. But when you discover your true identity, rooted in purpose, grounded in faith, you lead with clarity, courage, and conviction.
Declare the Shift
As leaders, as believers, and as individuals destined for more, it’s time to declare freedom from limiting beliefs, from false identities, and from low-altitude living.
Say it aloud. Let it become your declaration:
“I used to think that I could not go on and life was nothing but an awful song. But now I know the meaning of true love, I’m leaning on The Everlasting Arms. If I can see it, then I can do it. If I just believe it, there’s nothing to it.”
I BELIEVE I CAN FLY.
I BELIEVE I CAN SOAR.
This isn’t just a song, it’s a mindset. It's a call to leadership. It’s time to rise. Time to stop living in the shadow of limitation and start leading in the light of transformation.
Over the next few days, we’ll explore the eagle-like nature of God, strong, strategic, soaring, and how understanding Him helps you understand yourself.
Until then, remember: You weren’t born to follow crows. You were born to fly like an eagle.

3moThanks for sharing, Arun Karthick. I really enjoyed reading this. Wow! never thought 💭 leadership could be discussed via a song. That 🎶 song….. The analogy of the eagle 🦅 and the crow 🐦⬛ hits home. I like the statement, ‘discover your true identity, rooted in purpose, grounded in faith, you lead with clarity, courage, and conviction.’ Bringing in the two quotes from the Holy Bible seals it for me. To Ephesians 4:22-24 and Hosea 4:1. I will add Matthew 20:26-28. I say hallelujah 🙌🏿. Amen 🙏🏿
