Not just a bridge – a breakthrough in folding carton production
The packaging sector has been growing strongly for over a decade now, and this trend is continuing. The above-average annual growth applies in particular to long-run folding carton printing for food, beverage, and consumer packaging, with very large format (VLF)/format class 6 (105 cm × 145 cm /41.34 × 57.09 in) sheetfed offset presses playing a key role. For this reason and to coincide with its 175th anniversary, HEIDELBERG is adding the Cartonmaster CX 145 in format class 6 to its portfolio for packaging customers.

HEIDELBERG is marking its 175th anniversary with a week of celebrations at the company’s Wiesloch-Walldorf site in Germany, drawing over 1,500 guests from all over the world. The grand highlight is the opening ceremony for the Print Media Center (PMC) in its new look as the Home of Print. Jürgen Otto, CEO of HEIDELBERG, greeted the customers, suppliers, partners, politicians, and representatives of civil society attending the ceremony with the following words:

Jetfire 50 just leveled up – now with seamless postpress power
HEIDELBERG is extending its portfolio for industrial digital printing and integrating postpress solutions from C.P. Bourg and Tecnau into its Jetfire 50 ecosystem. HEIDELBERG has entered into corresponding agreements with both companies. The stitching and perfect binding systems from C.P. Bourg and dynamic perforating, creasing, punching and cutting systems from Tecnau complement the Stahlfolder Fireline, which HEIDELBERG unveiled at the beginning of the year. Thanks to this complementary portfolio, Jetfire 50 users can produce various products in inline and nearline processes with varying page counts and final formats.
Success you can count on – targets met, future in sight
HEIDELBERG is starting financial year 2025/26 on a strong note. Based on its global market position, its portfolio expansion in strategic growth markets, and a much-improved cost basis, and despite a difficult economic climate, the company is expecting a slight increase in sales to around € 2,350 million in the new financial year and an adjusted operating margin of up to 8 percent. It sees growth potential in a number of areas. These include playing a leading role as a systems integrator for packaging and digital printing with hybrid printing solutions, combining software and service business in a digital ecosystem, and expanding the operation of charging infrastructure, including DC technology. HEIDELBERG is also expecting a big boost from the Asia/Pacific region. Healthy incoming orders at May’s China Print trade show confirmed this and created the basis for a successful start to the new financial year.
“Significant strategic and operational improvements have paved the way for further profitable growth,” said Jürgen Otto, CEO of HEIDELBERG. “Our measures will make a substantial contribution to the expected increase in sales. Enhanced efficiency and performance will further boost our profitability. Encouragingly, the capital market is also increasingly acknowledging our focus on economic efficiency and liquidity,” he added.
